In reality, many family law cases such as divorce cases don’t require the use of going to trial as a majority of these cases gets resolved without the use of going to a court and request for a trial. Although tools such as litigation is a necessity in these types of law cases, they should be treated as a last-ditch effort as through this process, things can get both expensive and risky in one fell swoop.
It becomes a difficult challenge to face when handling cases using litigation and can delay the process of resolving the matter by a large margin of time. As currently happening thanks to the Coronavirus, many trials are on hold by their local courts, and the more one requests for a trial during these times, the more likely they are to be delayed said hearing by more reasonable spans of time, especially once the health crisis dies down.
